This factory offers tours showing visitors how Guinness is brewed, and includes a free pint at the end of the tour.  The top of the factory offers a great 360° view over Dublin.

The storehouse of one of the most notorious beers on Earth is a must-see if you ever get to that little Isle of green.

Roasted, malted barley, hops, yeast, and water - Guinness beer, my favorite! This place was great! My brother-in-law, wife, and I took an afternoon in Dublin to explore the Guinness Storehouse and we had a delightful time. The place is an entertaining and informative visitor center/museum filled with everything you always wanted to know about Guinness. I particularly enjoyed the exhibits of Guinness advertising campaigns from around the world. The museum is well laid out and multi-floored and on the top floor is a glass pub that affords excellent views of Dublin . Better yet, the first pint was complimentary. Good journeys!

If you are ever trying to plan a low cost, backpacking trip to Europe from the US, Dublin should be your first and last stop. It's a lot cheaper to fly trans-atlantic into Dublin than any other city in Europe. Then you can take a discount carrier(Ryan Air) the rest of the way, save some cash, and see another country. Another plus for Dublin or Ireland in general, is this... In Italy, they don't really eat breakfast. It's all pastry. After a week of walking everwhere and overcoming language barriers, being able to order eggs, sausage, hash browns is a huge plus. Plus the irish in general are really friendly. The Guinness Storehouse is just part of the fun.

Awesome place in Dublin! The Guiness storehouse is a museum and bar all in one. It's very informative and fun to go through all parts of the productions of the famous guiness beer. You can do a lot on your own, e.g. pour your own perfect pint and you'll get a certificate for it. And the 7th floor there's the gravity bar where you can have a guiness or loads of other drinks, sit down, relax, meet loads of other people form different countries and you will have an awesome view over dublin!
the price of 13 euro is really worth it and it also includes a guiness beer (for example in the gravity bar)

DO IT - IT'S WORTH IT!!!

Like Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory for aged children, the Guinness Factory at St. James's Gate will give you every excuse to squeal with glee. Once through a guided tour of the distilling process, you get to enjoy the freshest pint of stout you'll ever lay taste buds on, all while having the craic high above and surrounded by a perfect view of one of the coolest cities in the western world.  Be sure to stop by Dublin's Liver Assurance building before-hand. You may find it a necessary piece of mind by round five!

I really don't like Guinness beer, but, I thought the factory was AMAZING. They have a museum-like tour that you can go through. At the top floor, you can taste a pint of guinness, fresh! While you're enjoying your beer, you can look out over the city of dublin in a sort of 360 degree view. There are glass windows at the top of the factory and you can see pretty far out. I found out about the factory while I was studying abroad in England and went with a bunch of American exchange students..We even stole the pint glasses (oops...haha).
