Sep 21, 2008 O' Connel St is a mismatch of shops and places to eat to suit every culture and appetite. At times you may think you're not even in Ireland anymore because the place is so multicultural but the many souvenir shops selling Irish trinkets and people walking around with Lepracaun hats on will soon remind you. If your going to see some bands the Ambassador Theatre is at the very top of O' Connel Street, the cinema is also on this street. All of the main side streets with the bars and clubs are off the side of O' Connel street so as long as you know your on or near O' Connel Street you'll never get lost. Of course there are also important landmarks of Irish history dotted all over O' Connel street, taking one of the many tour buses along the street of 16 - 25 euro will give you an insight into the history as well as a good laugh as most of the bus drivers are comedians. Oct 10, 2009 A great walking city. Absolutely the friendliest, nicest, most helpful people I have ever met traveling. Double decker buses are agreat way to get your bearings downtown on a first visit. Trains to surrounding areas are convenient and a good way to get out and about from Dublin. Cliffs of Mohrer are beatiful! Bring wet weather gear!!!!
