O' Connel St is a mismatch of shops and places to eat to suit every culture and appetite. At times you may think you're not even in Ireland anymore because the place is so multicultural but the many souvenir shops selling Irish trinkets and people walking around with Lepracaun hats on will soon remind you. If your going to see some bands the Ambassador Theatre is at the very top of O' Connel Street, the cinema is also on this street. All of the main side streets with the bars and clubs are off the side of O' Connel street so as long as you know your on or near O' Connel Street you'll never get lost. Of course there are also important landmarks of Irish history dotted all over O' Connel street, taking one of the many tour buses along the street of 16 - 25 euro will give you an insight into the history as well as a good laugh as most of the bus drivers are comedians.

A great walking city. Absolutely the friendliest, nicest, most helpful people I have ever met traveling. Double decker buses are agreat way to get your bearings downtown on a first visit. Trains to surrounding areas are convenient and a good way to get out and about from Dublin. Cliffs of Mohrer are beatiful! Bring wet weather gear!!!!

In the O'Connel Street, there are so much, you can get everything you want. For example the Penneys is a Must-Shown shopping paradies, the cafe at the top of the Debenhouse is really beautiful and there you can see the shoppingstreet.

The main street is filled with shops for all tastes, the GPO can also be found here. Various open top bus tours around the city depart from here and it's not far from the Temple Bar district and some really good deli's

Loads of minimarkets can cheaply provide you with food wherever you want to go. Also a must-see: "The Spike" A.K.A. "The errection at the intersection" A.K.A. "The Stiffy at the Liffey"
