Saint Stephen's Green
About Saint Stephen's Green
Beautiful escape from the busy Dublin streets. There's an elaborate archway at the main entrance with the names of fallen soldiers engraved on the underside. Lots of other statues, and a peaceful lake. A great place to catch your breath and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature in the middle of a busy city.

Mar 24, 2009 Stephen's Green is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city life and the crowds. Around lunch time, it can either be avoided to avoid the sheer masses of office workers in the city lunching in the beautiful surroundings, or it can be seen at that time to experience the unique atmosphere of the sacred lunch break! The perfect place to stroll around or sit and contemplate life over some nice packed lunch. Oct 29, 2011 Dublin for all its advantages is not known for its beautiful parks. Stephens Green can be very busy during the summer and occasionally just noisy. School kids and tourists dominate in the high summer season. Walk an extra ten minutes to Merrion Square or Ivagh Gardens if you actually want any peace. The ducks and swans in the pond and fun to find if you can get past the trenches of pigeons. Aug 3, 2008 Everything you want is right on that spot! Peace and quite, nature? - In the park itself Statues and other cultural things? - In the park and around (at a distance walk) Shopping? - St.Stephans Shopping Centre is just next to the park, perfect. Guiness? - Pretty much everywhere in Ireland ;-)
