School
Trinity College was founded in 1592, but the surviving buildings date back to the 18th century.  It is quite an architecturally impressive place, and has an equally impressive list of graduates that include Oscar Wilde, Jonathan Swift, Samuel Beckett, Irish Presidents, and more.  Trinity College remains a leading university today, having moved beyond its strictly Protestant routes to fully embracing Catholics today.  Depending on the time of year, student-led tours may be available.  In any case, the magnificent Old Library with its hundreds of thousands of ancient books and marble busts of graduates is one major highlight.  The library contains the prized Book of Kells – an 8th to 9th century illustrated manuscript of the four Gospels.  This is one of the finest illustrated manuscripts in the world and is on display at the library.

Absolutly beautiful buildings with a great atmosphere. Don't go there when the academic year is over, you really want to visit it when the students are around. The book of Kells is really nice but it is a bit expensive, for those of you who are on a strict budget spend your money on something else. For the others the book itself is really pretty and all that but the most interesting thing I thought was the old library.

The campus itself is beautiful and the book of Kells is worth a look but it can get ridiculously crowded in the summer so its better off-season or at off-peak times. Less well known of the Science Gallery on the far side of the campus which is also open to visitors and hold fascinating exhibits that are accessible even to the unscientific among us and there's a pleasant and affordable cafe attached.

It´s a great place to stay in during summer when you can rent a room or room´s for a good price. It´s in the heart of Dublin so it´s easy to get to know the city. For budget traveller´s and travelers that want something different. Breakfast was included, and you dine in a beautiful great hall. What is also convenient is that the book of Kells is found at the premises in the library.

Many would say you should go to Trinity College and see the Book of Kells. It's facinating to see the beautiful book, but you might be disappointed. What is worth a trip inside Trinity is what is called 'the long room', which is a old library with books everywhere. Though you might not be into books, the sight is worth seeing.

Scholars there will easily skip classes to have long conversations with foreign visitors treating them with good beers and inviting them for a stay in their houses. A very nice place to make friends, and I guess a great atmosphere to study.
