I want to share with you a new thrill: the famous opera of NABUCCO was performed yesterday at the feet of the World Heritage Site of Massada.
Because of the huge success they decided that at least once a year great performances will take place here.Tourists from all over the world will be notified about such grandious events and will be invited to come.
Yesterday's performance was unique:not only the great Daniel Oren was the conductor, but Israel's president Shimon Peres was the guest of honer. His presence and his speech contributed to the performance and to the well feeling of everybody. The conductor seemed overwhelmed himself and performed the famous slave aria letting the spectators to sing together with the choir. Once sitted ,the combination of the lights on the surounding mountains(the performance took place at 10 PM)and the pure sound of the orchestra will cause you feel like flying in the space with closed eyes so you can enjoy every second of this event.

Did you ever wake up in the morning and ask yourself, "Hey, do I want to go see some ruins of a former Roman fortress?" Well, look no further! You will be immersed in history, the dust of the ages and sandals tramping up to the top of the fortress. Go early in the morning to beat the heat. Well worth the drive from Jerusalem. After your walk, be sure to dip into the Dead Sea...

The Massada Fortress is so desolate that you feel as though you have been thrown back in time ~2000 years. You can clearly imagine your self being a Jew behind its walls with the Roman Army trying to force its way inside. Eerie!

Situated at the Dead Sea, Massada offers wonderful view to the sea and Jordanian mountains, exciting historical stories that go to Herod's time. When in Israel, it's a must see location.
