Mar 26, 2009 700 years of Ottoman Turk ruins on top of 300 years of Crusader ruins on top of 600 years of Arab ruins on top of 400 years of Roman ruins on top of 500 years of Israelite ruins. In many places, earthquakes have moved the earth so you can see all the layers together like a cake - stone columns carved by Crusader knights laying on a tile floor in a Roman bathroom within sight of a pier built by King Herod. May 20, 2010 Caesarea is one of the ruins in Israel that is worth seeing when you are near Tel Aviv. It has a lovely roman amphitheater and a whole city with baths, lots of columns, pillars sarcophagus, etc lying around in the city by the stormy seas. It is also a part of the National Park with the same name.
