A place that has touched my senses in a interesting way. First I tought that it woulded touch me at all but after being there I must say I feld a sense of living in the now not future not history not autopilot but now ! What has touched me the most was the fact that so many people at that moment where living the moment in real time together in togethernnes. Only for this fact it is one of the few special places in the world that this happens in such a way. What was striking for me to see was the contrast between the wailing people at the wall the holiest of the holiest for Jewish people and above the Dome of the Rock Mosque one of the 3 holiest places for the Arabs and one of the symbols of Arab islam glory towering high above the Temple Mount with his stunishing golden dome that is so present in its being there that it dominates the vieuw from every hill and point where you can see it. This spiritual and fundamental struggle of bible history and present-day religion practicing can be observed in all its facets in this historical enigmatic place that has defined in so many ways the course of Western history.

I prayed and even put my little piece of paper into the wall while i was there. Even if you don't want to take the opportunity to add a prayer, the spectacle of seeing such an ancient ritual up close is truely amazing. Well, worth a visit.

this is where the Jewish people put notes in the wall and no women are allowed to come in, and there are often 5 barmitzvahs going on simultaneously while people stand around on their mobiles.
