About Bio Ramon
The Bio Ramon is a small desert zoo that keeps a wide range of small native desert animals, from snail and beetles, to snakes, lizards and rodents. The zoo is run by Israel Nature and Parks Authority, and aims to promote the conservation of natural desert environment, by educating people about the wonderful diversity of life in our deserts. Each visitor may enjoy a free guided tour of the sight, including fascinating facts and great stories about our animals. Professional toures and lectures may also be booked in advance. Nov 30, 2008 Small collection of local desert animals. I was there very early one Saturday morning in January and I was maybe the only customer in the first couple of hours, so ended up chatting with the friendly attendant and helping muck out the porcupine enclosure. Related Links
