Yafo/Jaffa is an ancient redirect-port city believed to be one of the oldest in the world. Jaffa an ancient and beautiful city is located in the south of Tel-Aviv. Jaffa claims over 4000 years of history, but is still live and kicking. This is the place where the prophet Jonas was swallowed by the whale, and the Rock of Andromeda can be seen jutting from the water.
It's a very calm place to walk in the labirinth of the streets.

Must see this old city built with old stones , visit the artist quater and the excavations of the anciant port of Joppe . From there you will have a great view of Tel -Aviv beach. and the entire city .And walk in those narrow streets wonderfull !

My parents lived there after the war in a hole in the wall. Now it's a beautifully restored area!

Probably the best thing about Tel Aviv eventhough it feels a bit revamped, rebuilt and touristic.

Old Jaffa Hostel Guest House ! alone would be worth a visit to Israel
