Pompeii was an ancient city in Campania , on the Gulf of Naples , Herculaneum and Stabia , like the eruption of Vesuvius on 24 August 79 is set in AD . Vesuvius is the only active volcano on the European mainland.

I was 12 when I walked the streets of Pompei, in awe, imagining Romans' life in the Antiquity...and how tragicly they all died at the fury og Mont Vesuvius....I went back home with the inspiration needed to study Latin in High School for 6 years!

Beautiful Landscapes, and being in a city where all of the ruins take me back to how the Italian empire really existed is truly breathtaking.

A fantastic time-machine trip into the times of Ancient Rome. Easily the best thing about a trip to Napoli.
