you might need to be on a tour to be allowed in the church. I used Dark Rome, Catacombs and Crypts tour. AWESOME company. used them for 3 other tours. you are not allowed to take pictures but bring change because you can buy post cards with pictures on them. listen to the guide and the stories. incredible!!

It´s an awesome place, and you are definitively allowed in the church without any tour...I did. But it is true that you cannot take pictures.
