The Church of the Immaculate Conception was a quick stop on our whirlwind tour of Rome, and probably the most memorable. The inside of this Crypt is adorned entirely with the bones of Capuchin monks from I believe the 16th century. Rather than bury them in overcrowded graveyards, the monks decided to make art from the bones of their brothers. Chandeliers, Doorways, Furniture, anything. It is an incredible sight to see, and one that won't normally be high on the list of "must sees" in guide books.
