You can´t say you´ve been to Florence without having tried Il Mercato Centrale. It´s like a big street full of tents which offer you lots of different kind of products! Even if you don´t like shopping I advice you it´s the cheapest place in Florence to find a good souvenir!

Great place to just walk around and see the wide selection of foods available, especially nice after your mind is numb from all the art in the city. Great delis and friendly vendors, who allow you to sample a wide variety of their fare. Great for picking up gifts for friends and family.

If you like food you have to love this place. Anyhow don't expect any extravagant or luxurious market. THis is just pure and good food!
