To escape from the tiny and bustling streets of Venice, head north to Padova. Beautiful town with some sites (mainly churches) and a large park in the center. Head to the local grocery store, pick up some food, and have a picnic near the fountain.

Its always full of people taking sun on the grass or doing picnic!
On saturdays the market is cool but the 3rd Sunday of every month there is another market of antique curious things!

A really nice place to just sit and relax, or to go drink something with friends in the evening. The market on Saturdays is also quite nice.
