Largely overrated, Venice. Maybe I went there with too high expectations, but I found the water too dirty and the buildings too degraded. It is a nice place to visit, mainly if you dwell into the less crowded alleyways, but it is not the wonder people take it for.

Less tourists than Venice, but less beautiful than Burano. Some great cafes and numerous glass shops. Combine for a day trip with other islands on a 12hour vaporitto pass.

Murano is a nice little island city with a lot of glass factories and some beautiful churches and scenery on the way to the island too. Enjoy the boat ride from Venice.

Magical place. Buy some Venetian glass, try a Bellini @ Harry's Bar & fresh seafood. Get up early in morning, grab a cup of cafe & watch the groceries come in by boats!

Murano has paint my memories with full spectrum of colours. This place is distinct with delicate colourful glassware that makes your eyes popping and jaw dropping.
