Dec 11, 2010 The Emperor used to live there in the 17th C. It's huge with 6 gates; a gate was just used by the imperial family and their guests. The Palace is divided into several buildings: waiting room, ceremony room and the room where the enthronement used to take place. Outside of this building there is a cherry tree (which is the national symbol of Japan) and a lemon tree (which is a symbol of good luck) on both sides. There are also breathtaking gardens Jun 5, 2008 Just a piece of wonder in this world. Nothing less, nothing more
