This museum holdsa collection of fine arts, historical artifacts and handicrafts. they also hold temporary exhibitions on  a regular basis.

Getting there:
From the station go straight and turn right on the Shichijo-dori. The museum is past the river on your left hand side. On the other side of the street from the Sanjusangen-do.

When I was there in april this year they were relocating the permanent collection. There was a temporary exhibition on a zen-cloister. It was nice but not really my thing.
