Scenic park with hundreds of gentle grazing deer and also the home of a shrine where a 50 ft Buddha statue is housed. This was one of the first places I went in Japan and still rates as one of the most magical.

not as peaceful as it sounds, think of Bambi on ice...and not the ice capades...flashing eyes, pawing cloven hooves, flickering tongues, gnawing teeth...They could make a 3-D movie out of it.
