This is the largest wooden building in the world, and it has the largest bronze statue of Buddha (Daibutsu) in the world. Beware of the deer as you approach the temple. They will bite your butt for some crackers since they've grown accustom to folks purchasing a bag of crackers from the vendors (specifically there for deer-feeding purposes) to feed them with. Definitely a more rural area, so there's very little english spoken. 100% must see while in Japan.
