Nice place to visit near Mt. Fuji. If your lucky you can make some nice pics of Mt. Fuji. Tourists can get around easily by bus, boat and ropeway. There are tours that include all these means of transportation. Along the way you can also try the black eggs (kuro-tamago) These eggs are boiled on site in the hot springs; their shells become black due to a chemical reaction with the sulphurous water.
