Mar 8, 2010 Most people are not allowed anywhere near this place! We spent a couple of hours figuring out how to get there and saw a lovely moat surrounding it with swans floating around... but that's it. You can see the Palace in the distance, but you aren't allowed inside. So we lay down on the grass outside to catch our breath - there are beautiful gardens all around it, with shady trees. Oct 8, 2008 It's a bit incongrous as it doesn't fit with the architure that surrounds it at all. It's beautiful though and well worth walking around the outer walls and moat. The water, together with the trees and the magical Japanese design of the palace make it a very peaceful sight. Feb 7, 2009 There are two days of the year you can enter the Palace and see the imperator. I was on 02 January and there were a few people who were extremely happy to see him. Japanese people love a lot their imperator and his family. It is very impressive. Related Links
