Railway Tokyo's most prominent train line is the JR Yamanote Line, a circle line which connects Tokyo's multiple city centers. The city's 13 subway lines are operated by two companies and run largely inside the Yamanote circle and the areas around Ginza and Shitamachi. Most of the countless suburban train lines commence at one of the six major stations of the Yamanote Line (Tokyo, Ueno, Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, Shibuya and Shinagawa). Payment Accepted:

Nov 10, 2009 OK OK! It' a huge town...but the track net! It's amazing! 13 lines metro lines and 6 JR lines. I can't show them in 1 pic. It appears difficult, but easy to use. Each line has a color and a number and each station also has a number. If you have JR pass you can go almost anywhere in the city. And they always stand in row, to get on the train. If you feel lost just ask an employee of the metro. They answer in 1 minute! The schedule in their head! :o)))
