Tsavo National Park is known for its concentration of wildlife, including the Big 5. Scenery wise, the park also does not disappoint, varying from mountainous terrain in the western part of the park with swamps, lakes, and springs, to a more dry, flat and arid eastern part.Tsavo West is known for its bird life and large mammals, as well as the black rhino sanctuary, while the eastern part features the Yatta Plateau, which features the world's longest lava flow and the Lugard Falls, a series of rapids on the Galana river. The Mzima springs are natural springs that produce over 50 million gallons of fresh sparkling water daily. Other notable attractions include the Mudana Rock, a 1.6km stratified rock that acts as a natural dam, and serves as a great animal observation vantage point, and Aruba Dam, a reservoir built to attract more animals and birds. The Tsavo National Park was once the hunting grounds of the Waliangulu and Kamba tribes. Payment Accepted:

May 29, 2008 The camp site ( if you could call it that )was Gorgeous the tents even had showers- the water is suspended in a bag above the roof so it is heated by the searing sun right through the day for when you need it.You cant be too squeamish though, when I went to go in the tent a snake dropped from the roof with a bat half down its neck.
