The Menengai Crater is an enormous volcanic crater (second largest in the world) located just outside Nakuru.

The Menengai Crater offers a really spectacular view! To get there, you can either walk or hop on the back of a motorbike (300 kshs to the top of the crater and back). On the way up, you go through a small village, complete with mud huts and a village pub! Most people who come to Nakuru just go to the park and forget the crater, so there are also not a lot of tourists! Well worth a visit!
