About Kingman Reef
The treeless and boomerang shaped Kingman Reef is a national wildlife refuge under the control of the US, and is off limits except for those with special permits. It has a very diverse ecosystem and many turtles, seabirds, and other creatures inhabit the area. It is often completely submerged and consists of a huge reef surrounding a coral head.
