Military
One of the heaviest armed borders in the world, the Korean Demilitarized Zone serves as a buffer between North and South Korea.  This zone is approximately 248 km long and 4km wide and is filled with many landmines.

Tours are available of the Demilitarized Zone as there are rarely any armed conflicts despite the still at war status and the heavy military presence.

Very cool. Once in a lifetime experience. As a military member going inside the DMZ seperating North and South Korea was intense. I was able to get into the room where UN meetings are held with the North. Inside the room, I was allowed to move from the South side to the North side of the table. Very educational as well. Found the most dangerous golf experience on the last US military post before reaching the DMZ. A single hole putting green with signs that read, "LIVE MINE FIELD! Do not retrieve balls from the rough."
