Xieng Kuane Buddha Park is a sculpture garden full of Hindu and Buddhist statues.  Built in the 1950's, the sculptures were assembled by a priest by the name of Luang Pu.  The statues are in various poses from standing to reclining.

Take a bus from the central bus station of Vientiane to this park. I bought a postcard of it and showed the people and bus driver so they knew where I wanted to go and I got the right bus. The park is build in the 1970 and you pay small entry fee. If you want to take pictures you pay extra but I think it is worth it. There are so many sculptures. If you knew a bit of the Buddha 'mythology' then you will find lots of them here in stone. Most interesting I found the small building where you walk through a big mouth into it... Probably one of the most interesting places around Vientiane.

This is the most interesting place in Vientiane...that says a lot about the city. It looks like a very amateur sculptor took a long weekend and created it. It's funky.
