Nov 6, 2008 You can go for a walk along the wide sidewalks lined with palm trees. On your right there is the Mediterranean and in front of you you can see the green mountains. The Corniche is usually crowded with joggers, bikers, Kaak and lottery vendors, tourists, photographers, toddlers, fishermen. old people, young couples... On your way you can see the lighthouse and the Raouche or Pigeon rocks. on the other side of the street, there are snacks, restaurants and international hotels. The people, the views, the sea,the sun and the mountains will fill you up with energy and happiness. Oct 4, 2009 A bustling part of Beirut. Nice to wander around during the day, but even more fun in the evening around sunset. Go for a nargile at one of the seaside hotspots near Pigeon Rocks or at one of the hotel bars or restaurants that line the main street beside the Corniche. Nice spot for photography, you can leisurely walk along the most interesting parts of the Corniche, from AUB to Pigeon Rocks in a bit more than half an hour. Th walk is easier to start at Pigeon Rocks though as it will be partly downhill from there.
