May 15, 2009 Saint Charbel, the Saint of Lebanon, is visited by pilgrims from all over the world all year round. The monastery is in Anaya on a spectacular hill where the faithful find hope and solace in the quiet landscape. Saint Charbel spent his life in a hermitage praying, contemplating and doing some manual work. 100 years after his death, the body is completely intact with no signs of deteriorations "as if it had been buried that same day." His miracles are uncountable and Muslims as well as Christians have a great faith in the Lebanese Saint. In the western world you have to take an appointment to see a shrink to be relieved, here our shrink (the Saint) is ready to see us whenever we need, you just ask for his help and he’ll lighten your burden. You may not believe that some people still believe in Saints, but we do and our faith is the secret of our endurance and happiness whatever difficulties we encounter.
