Trata-se de um arco (como o arco do Triunfo) da época do Império Romano. Construido na época do Imperador Marcus Aurelius. Muito bonito. Na área próxima, existem outras relíquias arqueológicas daquela época. Fica ao lado de restaurantes muito bons. Pode-se fazer uma refeição admirando o monumento. Só não se pode beber bebidas alcoólicas, que são proibidas no país, que é muçulmano.

amazing arch so Historical, and it's in the heart of tripoli so it's easy 2 find for people who love the Romanian antiquity and it's close 2 the old city were u can find things 2 buy as remember and u can take a round 2 see the old style of the buildings ,this old city is Within UNESCO

great place to see it i was there in 2007 for 58 days ....it is not the same like you see it in TV you have to be there to feel it .....its a great place to visit for 7-10 days , wait up the problems now and when they are clean go and see the arabic world

Well preserved arch, surrounded by restaurants in a nice neighbourhood in the centre of town. Hope it survived the civil war.
