it's got the history on the lithuanian "guerilla"-movement during WWII and sovjet times in the upper levels, whereas in the basement you get an insight on what the sovjet KGB used to do there. the interrogation and torture cells are kept they way they were, which give the whole place quite an intense feel

Jun 30, 2011 one of the must-see places in Vilnius. it's in general creepy place for me [especially prison area], but also it has tons of information as well as great exposition of all kind of stuff according to topic. Aug 10, 2008 Extremely interesting, scary and bizzare and certainly worth a visit for reminding one of the horrors of a regime long gone, at least in Lithuania...
