Jan 31, 2009 Pulau Perhentian ( Perhentian islands ) are made of 2 main islands Perhentian Besar ( big Perhentian ), and Perhentian kecil ( small perhentian) and tehy are located on state of terenganu in malaysia. Pulau Kecil is made up of a small fishing village. its were local people live in , its very small as it name says. and i think its a very good example of a beautifull fishing malay village. and a nice village life with allthose ships moving around, kids playing aroound and the best part fishermans and womens working and their beautiful treditional houses. Pulau Besar is a amazingly beautifull island with beaches around it and a small jungle full of monkeys and iguanas. there are few hotels and resturants on the main beach but what make this island special is that there is no permenant staying there. resturants and shops close about 7 at night and locals leave to Pulau kecil village. there so no roads made in the Pulau besar. and its just a plain part of nature. there are beautiful coconut trees along the beach and as otehr islands in malaysia its very warm. what makes the island really special is the clean and clear whater , sitting in ur boat in 5 metter deep you can clearly see the corals and colorful fishes around you. avtivities in island are scuba diving, snorkeling , small shark and turtule watching , and feeding those beautiful colorful fishes. while snorkeling you can zee lots of beautifull corals. fishing and collecting corals or any thing esle from this island is strongly prohabited . Jun 12, 2008 It is not hard to get there at all. From KUL, take a domestic flight to Kota Bharu airport. Access to the Perhentian Islands is by ferry from Kuala Besut , which is usually reached from either Kota Bharu or Kuala Terengganu . See the Kuala Besut article for more information. Ferries have previously run from a jetty at Tok Bali, and for a short while direct from Kota Bharu, but both have now been discontinued. There are no ferries to neighbouring islands, but reasonably priced direct transfers to Redang are possible if a day-trip or dive boat has free seats - enquire with travel and dive shops. Jan 14, 2009 Long beach is the most havoc place in Perhentian Kecil at nite.... u can party at the beach and have some drinks + fill ur stomach with exotic sea foods like barracuda, shark, kingfish anf blablabla.. btw, hey!! nice view ler.... enjoy the snorkeling trip form RM50 for 6 snorkeling points!!~
