Batu Caves is located 13km north of Kuala Lumpur. Batu Caves comprises of several limestone caves that contains a Hindu shrine. Getting to the shrine is via a 272, steps that leads to the mouth of the main cave. Once a year, millions of Hindu devotees and other visitors throng the caves to celebrate the Thaipusam festival.
