Fishing is the backbone of the Maldives, so it is almost a must-see to visit the fish market on Male island. It actually doesn't smell so bad as it is an open air roofed building - watching the row of men gutting and beheading fish is quite a spectacle! The is the real Maldives, not a fabricated resort experience.

Curioso mercado de pescadores de la zona que se celebra a diario cuando vuelven de la labor. Esta junto al mercado de la fruta.
