The Musee du Sahel tells the story of the Songhai and Toureg people along with some of the prehistoric history of the surrounding region. The signs are in both English and French and the displays included examples of traditional Toureg/Songhai structures.

Oct 29, 2008 While it's a little 'rough around the edges' I found the displays and information presented here to be quite interesting. It's a really good way to get a basic grasp of the differences between the Toureg and Songhai and an idea of how they live. Of course a better way to do that is to venture into the desert and stay in a Toureg camp but this isn't a bad option either! Related Links
