Kani-Kombole is a possible starting point of trekking in Dogon country, which is one of the main attraction in Mali. You have to descend from Djiguibombo which is on top of the Bandiagara escarpment and the last point which can be reached on road. From here you can start your trek in Dogon country. Dogons are really special people with stong animic religion which is controlling their life and you can wonder around their villages learning about their very special culture: their myths with animal spirits and you will hear about their tales, see the sculptures, you will meet with people living in a different age. You need to hire a guide in Bandiagara. This is a village with a precious thing: they have a dwell with a manual pump, which qualifies to drink the water of the dwell even for europeans - later you will see only holes with a dirty rope....
