It is something almost unbelievable how such a strong fort was build on such a tiny island.But consider the strategic location of Malta and you will understand.Huge fortified walls and tunnels and canons of all sizes can be seen .Take a cruze around the island to have a better perspective of the fort.

Still a police college and only open on a Saturday and Sunday during our visit (now 5 years ago) this site provides not only history but fantastic views of much of Valletta, Sliema and the various parts and fortifications of the Great Harbour - well worth a visit.

Valletta is very tiny, as is all of Malta, so you can't miss this fort. It is a beautiful place and a great site at sunset. Terrific sense of history.
