Shipwreck
Bikini Lagoon has gained an outstanding reputation as a great diving site due to its World War II shipwrecks and strong marine life.  The wrecks include the USS Saratoga, one of only two diveable aircraft carriers in the world, and one of the largest diveable shipwrecks in the world.  You can still see planes and racks of bombs in the shipwreck. The Japanese battleship Nagato is also located here.  It was the flagship of the Japanese Pacific Fleet and sent the signal to attack Pearl Harbour.  Also viewable are silvertip and reef sharks.  The dive site is quite unspoiled and quiet due to the lack of local tourism infrastructure and Bikini Atoll’s radioactive reputation as a former nuclear bomb test site.
