Xochimilco is heaven on Earth! I've been there three times; it's great to go on weekdays when the locals go and is not too crowded. The trajineras (brightly-painted boats) are so lovely, and some pass by selling food, live music (mariachi), drinks, and crafts.

Most beautiful boat ride I've ever had. I really enjoyed the flowers and it was great to hear the mariachi music.
