The drive there from Mexico City is a horror – not only for there being no road rules, no one following any rules, bad signs, maps not looking like the roads, etc, but it’s a hard drive, bad roads, donkeys walking onto roads, rocks falling, etc. There are attacks on the roads as well. We took the ‘paid roads’ which are pricey, but less dangerous. Then again, I’m glad I did it. The guest house, El Castillo, is a dream – like a fairy tale home. Laz Pozas itself is like stepping into another world. One of the top highlights of my trip.
