It is a mayan temple. if you are in Cancun or Yucatan region, it is a must and it gives you an idea about mayan culture and empire. you can rent a car and go there. ıt tkase 2 hours but the road is green and can be very boring cause there is not any town or villages during the road. so take everything you need before going there. if you want some mexican gifts or souvenirs buy from the street seller. they are cheap and have lots of variety. do not forget to bargain.
