May 4, 2009 This is a beautiful natural water park, very good snorkeling place. We took the combination tour of Tulum and Xel-Ha, and we felt that we're not given enough time to enjoy the activities in Xel-Ha. We enjoyed snorkeling in the inlet, saw many colorful fish, the water was so clear. This is an all-inclusive park and our entrance fee included: locker, towels, drinks, buffet lunch, showers and life jacket. If you'll use their snorkeling equipment you need to deposit $20. Inside the park, we took the Sea Trek tour, they let you wear a diving helmet for 45 minutes at the price of $45. We felt this was a waste of time and not worth it, the water was full of silt, saw only a few fish and touched the stingray. No big deal, just skip this activity. They also offer swim with the dolphins and snuba, we didn't try any of this coz we're pressed for time. The food inside the park was really good, lots of choices at the buffet, worth the price. If you want to go to Xel-ha, remember to bring your own bio-degradable sunblock lotion, that's the only that they allow you to use. They check bags before they let you enter. I suggest that you spend a full day in Xel-Ha in order to enjoy all the activities this park has to offer. Nov 30, 2009 I had to pick between Xel-Ha and Xcaret. My concierge said Xel-Ha was better so I took her advice. Xel-Ha was worth every peso! They have so much to do you could spend 2 days there really. Absolutely beautiful snorkeling. The buffets were good, the open bars were great. So many places say it is all you can eat/drink then only open the buffet for 2 hours. The buffets and bars were open all day. The entrance fee includes the use of snorkeling equipment, life jackets, kayaks, inner tubes, bicycles, well they do mean all-inclusive. (the hammocks are nice too). The spa does cost extra but it was a great massage for only $20 USD. When I saw their website I didn't think it could be as good as it looks but I was surprised... it was better than it looked! I did go right after the swine flu scare so the park was not as full as normal. If it was filled to capacity I would expect some lines for the activities but I didn't experience any. May 19, 2009 This was just amazing ! It's an eco-park where the sea enters the land and creates some sort of lagoon. You can snorkel all around the place and admire the beautiful underwater life. We've even seen a big stingray underneath us ! Super duper. Some relaxing tubing is possible too. We took the All inclusive pass, so we could sip some nice cocktails and food at noon. What more can one want :-p Nov 19, 2008 this place is absolutely amazing.. you can swim, watch , walk feel the nature and take some pics in the midle of the natural enviroment that only riviera maya's and cancun nearest locations can offer. dont forget about to take your camera, swim suit, and a good pair of snickers to this travel! Apr 4, 2010 There really is something for everyone at Xel-Ha. We spent a great day here snorkeling, swimming, floating in tubes, hiking, diving, eating, playing and lounging in the hammocks. You can swim with dolphins, check out turtles, snorkel with fish, and chase iguanas. It's worth a visit. Related Links
