Nov 8, 2009 You can feel the influences of big communist brothers China and Russia on this square... yet it brings it manages to bring out its own Mongolian communist 'character' at the same time, evidenced by Khan and ancient Mongolian script. I most liked the mix of influences, the cross of cultures and the cross of times that I found at the square: during my visit there was a camp-in protest of gers set up on the square, while at the same time there was a school graduation party with all the students wearing colorful western attire.
