From Chedchaouene, famous blue city and marocain center of hasish you can easily go to the Rif mountains, especially a walk to the National Park Talassemtan. Just go through the Bab Souk , and then the path through the cemetery. A walk may last one day, but we can go to the mountains for 4 day trip. The mountains are wild, they filled gorges, valleys, passes and peaks are above 1500 meters high. In truth, 90% of the arable land is covered by kif . From November to May is cool, but I prefer this weather for trekking. Sometimes it snows, so a good sleeping bag and tent is needed as well as something against the rain. In the mountains we can meet macaques ( mgu ) and golden eagles, and rare Moroccan Fir. Views are unforgettable.
