A surprisingly relaxing place to spend a couple of days, great medina area and some great hotels. Safe for travellers and a lovely long beach to walk in the south. The harbour area is particularly interesting as the fishermen bring in their catch and repair their boats. Take a walk around the walls to get a great view of the sea crashing on the rocks to the north west.

i've done a tour through Morocco and each and every place I've visited ws great and so ws Essaouira

This is morocco within Morocco, a place for artists, mainly painter, famous for the Essaouira blue
