Fascinating place with beautiful temples, including a large pagoda, an art museum and curio shops. There is a nice restaurant overlooking the square. Be sure to check out the vase makers nearby and maybe have your own clay vase made for you while you are exploring the town

pretty cool n fascinating place.... rich in culture... magnifient temples with beautiful wood-carvings.... really good to hang out at the evening.... the food stalls that r cheap and serve really delicious food also add to the reasons for visiting this place full of curio shops and friendly people...

This is the location for the movie Little Buddha. It is a living museum. People still live their lifes like several hundred years ago. The only complaint is they charge the entrance fee higher than the other two ancient cities in Kathmandu Valley.
