Oct 30, 2008 Early one morning we went to see the elephants in the elephant breeding center in Chitwan National Park. We wanted to get there before the crowds, and it turned out to be the perfect time to go! We were there all by ourselves and got pretty up close and personal with some greedy baby elephants who were very interested in the cookies we had for them! The adult elephants are very aggressive so each of them are chained to poles in the yard (though I imagine if they really wanted too they could get out pretty easily!), but the baby's are free to wander up to the fence so that you can pet and feed them. They were pretty loving, but I have a feeling they were only using us for our cookies! :) Related Links
