I love Nepal! My visit to Kathmandu, Nepal was originally planned as a stop over to get my visa to Tibet. Fortunately, I met Milan who had just opened the Himilayan Spirit Adventure Travel Agency. He helped me with accommodations at the Potala Guest House in downtown Thamel, Kathmandu. Located in throws of the shopping area, the Guest House rooms were cheap ($10US/night), clean, hot showers, fresh towels and exceptionally friendly and service oriented staff. I decided to stay in Kathmandu and Milan recommended an excursion for my friends and me. Milan assigned us a driver, Mig, and a Guide, Bhanu Adhikari. These two gentlemen were very knowledgeable and friendly and made sure that our adventure was not only safe but the best experience ever. You must see Mt. Everest from aboard Buddha Air. Chitwan jungle is fantastic with elephant rides into the jungle to search and photograph tigers and rhinos. Unfortunately, we didn't see any tigers but did see a Rhino with a new born baby. The Hindu, Buddhist and Newari temples are incredibly old and ornate. The entire country is culturally rich and fansinating. I found the people of Nepal to be hard working, friendly and culturally diverse. I loved every minute of my adventure and will hold the experience near and dear to my heart forever.

I loved Kathmandu, I lived there for 5 months with my family and made great friends. There are some many places to go, and there is always a festival to go to. If you go anywhere go to the Monkey Temple, do not feed the monkeys!!! I hope you have fun!
