It is called the Monkey Temple, because of the numerous mokeys lingering at the base of the hill, before starting to climb up to the Stupa. A beautiful place to visit and really near the center of Kathmandu.

A long walk up the stairs to the stupa and the surrounding temples is rewarded with a spectacular view over Kathmandu... and a lot of monkeys ;-)
