At 3880m above sea level, the Everest View Hotel is the highest hotel in the world. Trekking into Namche Bazar is not something I found easy, nor was the acclimatisation day we spent in Namche. There are two fantastic view points of Everest. One is at the Everest View Hotel, the other is up the small hill from the conservation memorial entrance gate in the national park. Unfortunately we didnt get to see Everest from either point due to weather but the hike was fantastic and it was snowing on our group. I would definately recommend a guide- not something you just decide to do by yourself. Our guide was with Intrepid and he was fantastic. And i think it must be said it is an achievement to just make it up here.
